Topos and Chorus Spaces
In ancient Greek, topos and choros refer to distinct aspects of space and place, with topos emphasizing a specific, concrete location and choros highlighting the dynamic, relational aspect of space. Topos is often associated with the tangible, fixed nature of a place, while choros points to the way space is experienced and shaped through human activity and interaction, akin to a "choreography" of the environment.
