Bio-

Anas Muhammed is a Syrian-born architect and urban designer currently based in Stuttgart, Germany. With a Master of Science in Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design from the University of Stuttgart, Anas brings a deep commitment to sustainable, socially conscious, and culturally informed urban design. His interdisciplinary background also includes a Master of Arts in the History and Theory of Architecture and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of Damascus.

Anas’s design philosophy centers on human-centered, environmentally adaptive interventions that respond to socio-spatial contexts and community needs. His master‘s thesis explored the transformation of public space in european cities, reflecting a long-standing interest in how cities evolve and adapt under cultural and structural change.

Professionally, Anas has contributed to impactful roles including Sustainability Consultant at Werner Sobek Green Technologies, Project Architect at wulf architekten, and Project Manager and BIM Specialist at AH AktivHaus GmbH. His work spans life-cycle assessments, modular housing, competition design, and sustainable architectural strategies. He has also collaborated with international NGOs such as Save The Children, GIZ, and UNHCR, leading educational and infrastructure projects that fuse humanitarian goals with design integrity.

In addition to practice, Anas brings academic insight as a design coach and teaching assistant in both Germany and Syria, and he has supported exhibitions and research with institutions like ETH Zurich, TU Berlin, Goethe-Institut, and the French Cultural Center in Damascus. He is currently a member of AKBW (the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects) and civic associations like Die Stadtisten and Adapter that promote experimental, participatory approaches to urban life.
